What the website collects

Joining the Marsonya waitlist stores three things: the email address entered, a salted hash of the connecting IP address (used only to spot abuse of the signup form; the raw address is never stored), and the time the confirm button was pressed on the page opened by the email link, which records consent. The website loads no advertising scripts and shares nothing with advertising networks.

What the website measures

Marsonya measures how the website is used with Google Analytics, loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz so the script is served from marsonya.com rather than a third-party domain. It records which pages were visited, which site or search engine referred the visit, and the browser, device type and approximate region. The region is derived from the connecting IP address, which Google Analytics does not store. A first-party cookie holds a random identifier so that several visits from one browser are counted as one returning visitor rather than several new ones; it carries no name, address or email, and it is never matched to a waitlist record. None of it is used for advertising. Browser tracking protection or a content blocker may stop the script; the pages do not need that analytics script to work.

What the address is used for

Marsonya (hello@marsonya.com) emails waitlist members only about early access and launch. The address is never sold, rented or shared. When someone confirms a waitlist sign-up or sends the feedback form, the team is told by email and by a message in Telegram. Both the email service and Telegram run on servers outside New Zealand. Each notification contains the email address, the page the form was on and the time, plus the name, topic and message for feedback. Feedback messages are used only to reply and are deleted on request; they are never added to the waitlist. The copies of these notifications that the team received (email and Telegram) are deleted on request too.

How long the record is kept

Unsubscribing with one click in any email deletes the waitlist record immediately (notification copies the team received are deleted on request, as described above). Otherwise, waitlist records are deleted once early access winds up, and no later than 12 months after Marsonya's public launch.

See, correct or delete your record

Email hello@marsonya.com from the address in question and Marsonya will confirm what is held, correct the record, or delete the record, normally within 5 working days, as the Privacy Act 2020 expects.

The app

The Marsonya app collects and handles data under a separate in-app privacy statement, shown before an account is created. The website and the app share nothing except the waitlist address, and only after launch invitations begin.
